WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY ABOUT?
I am crazy about developing, educating and improving myself constantly. I want to exchange traditions, languages, beliefs, perspectives, wishes and goals with people from other cultures with different experiences of life. Kids and dogs make me happy especially. Spending time with them is the best thing ever. My family means a lot to me. I enjoy the time with my parents. They are very liberal and understanding and we can talk about everything. We get along very well and that’s what I love.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST DREAM?
My biggest dream is to live my life in a way my parents can feel proud about. It doesn’t matter if it’s about education, work or family. I want to develop myself positively in these areas. That’s why I am trying not be afraid of making big steps in life. I like to remember a quote by Oprah Winfrey “Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe.”.
WHY DO YOU WORK FOR FIGO?
While on the search for a reasonable job, I did not only want a financial source, no, I rather wanted to work at a company, where people work, regardless of their origin, mother tongue or skin colour and are treated as valuable human beings. And exactly this philosophy is being exemplified to us in our teams through our bosses’ own intercourses. That is why Figo has been the right choice to fulfil my wishes. Figo tries to motivate us to develop ourselves on a daily basis, through a very familial working atmosphere, in which you feel efficient as a human.
DESCRIBE YOUR JOB OR YOUR TASK IN FOUR SENTENCES:
Due to the big effects of mega trends, like digitalisation, globalisation, modern technologies, industry 4.0 etc. the marketing department of Figo is also keen on realising creative and innovative ideas. That way the company can adapt to the steady changes in the best way. Therefore, we as a team work on our marketing concept to be more successful in the digital areas.
WHAT DID YOU LEARN AT FIGO?
What I really appreciate at Figo is, that the bosses are always open for new suggestions and perspectives for changes and modernisations. That way I also learn a lot about organisation and project development and useful applications of marketing concepts. I personally develop a high ability to adapt and a readiness for change also. And that’s exactly what I wish for myself.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE AT FIGO GMBH COMPARED TO OTHER EMPLOYERS?
Here, you don’t feel like a robot, that is programmed to only do tasks in a specific strict time frame. At Figo, it is important that you feel well. I like the different events and actions of Figo, such as team trips, Christmas celebrations, Christmas gifts, breakfasts and Smoothie days. I enjoy taking part actively and making many new experiences with the team. I have been working here for a few months now and I am happy with my job at Figo and the team. I also get the chance to have a working schedule that fits my lifestyle. As a result, I get a balance between university, private and working life.
WHAT DOES FURTHER EDUCATION MEAN TO YOU?
It always sounds hard if you work fulltime and study at the same time. But what I’ve learned in Germany, is that everything is possible if you only want. By now I have achieved everything that I wanted to. When it comes to marketing, I want to specialise in the area of innovation and I am trying to do that by creating a cooperation between my university and Figo. By saying cooperation, I mean that our marketing director at Figo, Carina P. Gerards, gives me the chance to study the modules in the course of innovation, creativity, marketing, modern business management etc. I genuinely appreciate her support while choosing topics and publications of term and academic papers. With this cooperation in education, Figo also gets the opportunity to benefit from the academic and modern knowledge and sciences. There are also other students working here, like student employees or Carina doing her PhD. The synergy effect for the company is huge. That way, Figo is connecting experienced employees with young people, that add the new to the existing, related to way of working.
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR SPARE TIME ALONGSIDE YOUR JOB?
Alongside my work life, it is very important to me to live healthy, to eat and at to enjoy my life at the same time. I am a person, who believes that you only live once. That’s why I try to stay healthy through dancing and fitness. I like to dance Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba the most. I love to express my feeling through dancing. Something I also really like is to cook. I enjoy cooking for hours and as a result I create something that tastes good and that others like too. I especially cook Persian food very well.
DO YOU HAVE AN ADVICE FOR YOUR COLLEAGUES HOW TO LIVE HAPPIER DAY TO DAY?
My advice for you is: start today with something that you enjoy. Start today with a new dance or a new language. Buy something today that makes you happy. Don’t push it to tomorrow. Do everything now, today, in this very moment. Do that, what you wouldn’t regret later. For me personally, it is important to progress in every aspect of my life, without forgetting important issues. I believe that you can achieve everything with a good time management and diligence.
